The last 12 months has seen some notable highs for the Cronulla 4-piece kicking off the year with a set at Mountain Sounds Festival in February, which was quickly followed by the release of their single ‘Pest Control’, the second sample from their sophomore EP. The release of ‘Pest Control' was accompanied by a 6 date tour stopping in Adelaide, Melbourne, Wollongong & Sydney with regional gigs in Katoomba & Bathurst. Aside from the tour and regular gigs in Sydney, Fripps have shared the stage with a variety of big names this year including The Psychedelic Porn Crumpets at UOW Unibar and Cosmos Midnight, Kwame & Ember at DK’s 2018 'Bar Night' in Bathurst.
Since the release of their debut EP, ‘Feeler On The Roof’ in early 2017, Fripps & Fripps have reached audiences globally, with songs ‘Get Your End Wet’ & ‘Cigarettes For Breakfast’ featuring on the UK Viral 50 & The Indie List on Spotify. The success of these releases saw the boys rack up 490,000 streams across 64 countries in 2018 paving the way for collaboration with upcoming UK producer Connor Panayi on their new EP, who’s recent roster has included work with Royal Blood, Mumford & Sons and The Hunna.
Fripps & Fripps will be releasing their sophomore EP titled ‘Keen For a Can’ on February 1st, 2019. The release will include feature singles ‘Cigarette’s For Breakfast’ & ‘Pest Control’ accompanied by 4 brand new tunes that continue on the UK Indie-Rock wave length with close comparisons to Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Kooks & The Wombats.
